Wow. I mean the whole Stratasys/Makerbot buyout/Thingiverse thing makes me wonder how 'safe' files are on Thingiverse, but to just outright steal *everything*... well, who has more lawyerbucks? Stratasys or some outfit like defcad?

So.. about copying objects

I know an user on thingiverse, he was posting a lot of stuff... (not his own of course) and people complained and he was forced to remove all his thingies.

However, the way he "imports" model into thingiverse is from convert google 3d warehouse models into stl file format and sometimes even fixing holes...

so my question is... i don't think by changing the format of a file would make the object "yours", however, if you modified it a tiny bit, does it count as yours now?

You can make a case that using literally with a metaphor is correct. If I say "I'm literally killing myself trying to get this thing to print" it's ok, because "literally" is being used as hyperbole which is never actually literal.

But, actually. Them sharp sheet metal edges. After I sheared a good chunk of my backhand when flinching from a hot end, I madly too a file to everything.

Yeah, that bothers me. I work in a fabrication shop and if you don't make sure the edges are deburred & nobody can cut themselves, then you get in trouble, yet somehow tons of people are getting hurt on sharp edges from SD, the industry standard is to ensure there are no sharp edges in a fabricated piece.

No trees were harmed in the creation of this email, though some electrons were horribly inconvenienced.

i use those paint scraper to remove prints, and the razor part of it snapped on me... the tip of the blade is missing a corner...
i just don't want the bed to cool down :-(

I've lost a couple of small prints because they go flying across the room when they pop off. I've cut my hand on the frame from getting prints off, and jerking it when I touched something hot. Also cut my knuckles on the edge of the glass bed trying to get something off before letting it cool down. I've used canned air before to hurry it up, figuring it's probably ok with borosilicate.
