Topic: Davinci Junior Fan Redirection
I've seen others who have made modifications to their printers to blow air where the filament is extruded to allow it to cool quicker. Is the purpose of this to prevent distortion? Such as, when I print bigger objects the filament shrinks on the edges. I printed a box and the edges lifted up so it isn't perfectly level. I printed half of a TieFigher and the wings are distorted so I can't glue them together without a gap present. Would making a funnel that screws onto the front of the existing fan and directs the airflow down to where the filament extrudes help prevent this?
I've started working on a design that might do this but want to know if it will help anything before doing more.
