Also another question. I am on firmware 1.15.0, should I upgrade to something in the low 2's? Is their any benefit?

Fair enough! Its printing great as it is, I just want to use cheap PLA and perhaps add a heated bed for ABS one day.

I noticed on my other spool that page 09 had to remain the same if not it gives error.
Page 14 also has to remain the same or same error and that 15,16 and 17 change back to the original values when 14 and 09 when back to the original values.

Hello. CGRILLO, the password seems to be correct. I can rewrite data from page 3 to the end.
But there is some strange. My page 2 value has changed, and I cant write it again.
I cant modify page oo and 01. Is there a way to changed this data?
Furthermore I cant print now. The page 20 (14HEX) must to be set to zero, in other case the printer do not recognized the cartidge. Maybe is a problem with the firmware?
How can i downgrade?

If you are have a JR. Don't be surprised one day after you reset your tag that you receive the dreaded "Unidentified Card" message. When you do, just up the last byte of page one by one. I have had to do this many times. I am not sure, but I think it may have something to do with the unload/load filament function in the printer. The last time I had this the byte was set at 59 so I tried 5A but still got the error. After much trial and error I was able to get it working by changing the last two byes to 40.
One other note. I believe if you read this whole thread. You will find somewhere that you should not run the tag down to 00 00 00 00. I reset mine to 300m and reset it back when I get to 100m.
I am not trying to be argumentative just telling you what I have experienced.

That does not look like a valid ID. It should be 14 bytes long. Yours is only 8 bytes long. Give us pages one and two from your reader.

From what I can find. The first 4 bytes cannot be modified, but the last 4 bytes are the "Lock bits". If XYZ has decided to update the lock bits that will lock the whole tag for read only resulting in an unusable tag. Again, this is just what I think, not a known fact since I have no idea what values were there prior to it being changed.

Are you sure that you did not update any of the last 4 bytes of Page 02? These bytes will put the tag in read only mode and cannot be reversed. It sounds like that is what happened. Firmware will not correct this problem.

Interesting PACK same.

The printer stores the filament length somewhere and block the trick to "reload filament" in the tag.
I'm looking for a way to erase the informations in the printer... help welcome

I don't understand your message... It's not a new subject. Da Vinci Jr and Mini use the same cartridge, the same algo and the same protection against tag modifications... Could you tell me more ?

The tag is locked, sorry, look at page 02 in the tag : if you have some FFFF it's dead :\

I feel the asking for passwords has taken over the thread slightly - so can you please PM (not email) me data from Pages 0 & 1, so I can get the UID and get a password.
I will still do it free of charge and only ask for the PACK code in return.
I will compile a list of UIDs, Passwords and PACKs and will share that to those that are looking into cracking the algorithm used (please let me know who you are as I'm way to lazy to trawl back though previous the 40+ pages)
