Re: Carbon3D --{25-100X Faster}
I saw this earlier today. Pretty cool, but I wonder how much resin would be contaminated over time just sitting in the pool collecting particulates.
Multiple SD2s- Bulldog XL, E3D v5/v6/Lite6, Volcano, Hobb Goblin, Titan, .9 motor, Lawsy carriages, direct Y drive, fishing line...the list goes on
Filawinder and Filastruder #1870.....worth every penny!
Re: Carbon3D --{25-100X Faster}
I think it's great that there's a method that kicks the layer weakness problem, as well as be super duper fast... buuuuuuuuuuuuuuuut
I haven't heard of any resins out there that can outperform FDM/FFF extruded filament plastics in terms of tensile strength. Until there's a resin out there that can beat ABS in tensile strength, I don't see this method breaking the practical application ceiling (which is the company's goal, according to the article).
Re: Carbon3D --{25-100X Faster}
Too bad they had to speed up their video by 7x to make it feasible to watch - still not fast enough :-).
Re: Carbon3D --{25-100X Faster}
this one is better .... want one

I predict 3D-printing technology will double in speed with every new generation. Ahum -Original HUM, Quote, Ahum, Ahum
