I saw this earlier today. Pretty cool, but I wonder how much resin would be contaminated over time just sitting in the pool collecting particulates.

I think it's great that there's a method that kicks the layer weakness problem, as well as be super duper fast... buuuuuuuuuuuuuuuut

I haven't heard of any resins out there that can outperform FDM/FFF extruded filament plastics in terms of tensile strength. Until there's a resin out there that can beat ABS in tensile strength, I don't see this method breaking the practical application ceiling (which is the company's goal, according to the article).

Too bad they had to speed up their video by 7x to make it feasible to watch - still not fast enough :-).

I predict 3D-printing technology will double in speed with every new generation. Ahum -Original HUM, Quote, Ahum, Ahum
