Topic: Brand New - Bed not raising

I just unboxed my new DaVinci 1.0 and the bed will not raise to the top. It's as if the threaded rod tries to turn but is stuck.

Yet...when it runs through the calibration routine it will raise and lower the bed about an inch without issue as the sensor tries to touch the sensor on the print head.

I'm hoping this is some easy.

Check out this thread and see if you might have this issue.

If it will not rise during a home operation but does move during cal then it is an issue with the beds home sensor. The thread I posted will supply you with pictures showing it's location.

If it will not go up when issue a home command, it is because the system already thinks it is home.  This is a sign of a sensor that is not working or is unplugged.

That thread describes my issue exactly. The top sensor appears to be plugged in. Is there a bottom sensor as well? Or is the logic more about whether or not the top sensor is tripped?

It's definitely a problem with the sensor. I swapped it with the lateral sensor and the machine threw an error code. I'm not sure why it's stuck closed but hopefully the replacement will have a working one.
