Topic: Solidoodle Type Frame
It seems I have enough spare parts to build a new printer from scratch. All I need are motors, wires, bearings, platform, and...you guessed it...A FRAME!!
I am looking at this for a frame and I don't know what size print area I want for now. X and Y may stay in accordance with my 6x6" area, but Z is up to my choosing.
My question to the panel is this: I want to keep the build cheap, but I want the materials fairly easy to work with and they have to be magnetic.
I have heavily considered T-Slotted frames, but they are aluminum and would only make things harder in the grand scheme of designing.
Any suggestions? I would REALLY like to build a frame capable of 8x8x8, but I don't have an SD3/4 to base measurements on.
It's a tossup of this project or making an OB1.4
