Re: New Printing Film
Bed was heated to 100. I forgot to significantly reduce the infill. For removal I've been using oil paint mixers, no sharp edges, various shapes, been working great for me.

Pallet Knives, they're called around here. If you're buying some for this purpose, don't buy used. Using the knife on canvas during painting can sharpen the knives to a razor edge, depending on your painting style. I hadn't thought about using them before, but that's a brilliant replacement for my current wood chisel.
Nope, I've never bought used. I go to A.C. Moore and get me brandy new ones.
OK here's a heads up for the Buildtak. If your using a glass bed ..... you probably shouldn't. Case in point
The circle is what I was printing ( pla 19mm x-men logo) and tried to get off when I heard the crack. Anyone have any home depot or lowes printing bed alternatives? Steel plate? twice as thick glass (doubt it wont crack again).

The correct answer would be 8 x 8 x 1/4 Borosilicate glass aka pyrex McMaster carr part #847K18 . $ 24.62
that said I am still using a piece of glass from the hardware store.
or you can get a piece of 1/4 aluminum plate for about $ 30 from on line sources. jig plate is pretty flat.
tin
mmmmmmm. would 3/8th be overkill?
If your going to spend real money you might as well go with PEI. Look it up on Amazon
too late already ordered ... lol pei huh? what is it?

It's what the really cool crowd uses
I've been using a 4mm slab of glass with my build tak for months now. Safe to say the stuff I've been printing on it has been kinda huge. No problems so far in terms of breaking the glass, but defs have the occasional stick problem in which a part is almost impossible to remove.
