Topic: pellets vs rolls

Is 10lbs of pellets equal to about 4.5 rolls of filament ? Is that a correct assumption?

SD3, E3D hotend,linear bearing on x/y axis',pillow block bearing on y conneting rod, ball bearngs on front y axis, fan on y stepper motor.

At 1 kilo spools, that's about right.

Yup, it is a constant mass process. Mass of pellets in = mass of filament out*.

This is a surprisingly frequent question, actually.



*like 0.0001% of the mass of pellets gets converted to volatiles during extrusion
