Topic: Magic Wallet - Customizable

http://www.google.com/imgres?imgurl=htt … mp;dur=241

I am making this in openscad and I was planning on using strips of "ACE Bandage" as the elastic straps. I need help figuring out how best to hold the straps. I was going to make a pretty version of this but I figured I should start with a functional version first. If someone prints this and finds a cool way to hold the strips or finds a good material let me know. I am trying to get a working version to my girlfriend who's birthday is today. I probably should have started on this weeks ago and not last night.

This is my first openscad project. I am not a programmer. My code is very ugly and I have to clean it up. It is functional however.

Re: Magic Wallet - Customizable

I like the idea of a printable wallet. I'd print out a test copy but I have no hot end at the moment. Do the printable straps work very well?

Re: Magic Wallet - Customizable

The work better for paper than for cards. As far as being flexable and strong enough, they seem to do great. I haven't been able to print one that I can put together without at least a little bit of trimming of the holes. That bottom layer is a killer.
