So, they're printing things that bend on their own in to their true shape. What's the big deal? Am I missing something?

Sure, with the current demos they have, it would have been quicker/easier to just print the pre-assembled cube/MIT. But I think the idea is that they have created the objects in a novel way that has the potential to allow for impossible-to-print things. I suppose in the strictest sense of the term, any ABS-printed part is "4D" because if you put it in a jar of acetone, it will change shape over time, but the core idea of the technology is useful change. I have several ideas for how this might be used someday, but I can't share them until I finish filling out these patent applications. big_smile
