This is actually an awesome and very useful printer.

I have a few colleagues who ask "Why would you spend $600.00 on a 3D Printer (even though I could have spent much more).

A) IT PRINTS IN 3 DIMENSIONS
B) It's surprisingly useful.

Now all I have to do is show them something like this, and it seems to justify it to them

People ask me 'why do you need a 3d printer? What do you print? Yoda heads? That just seems silly!'

I say 'do you have a normal paper printer?'

They say 'yes'

I say 'what do you print with it? Spreadsheets?'

They say 'documents'

I say 'so yoda heads is a legitimate answer then'

When I tell people I have a 3D printer, they think it is something that can print 3D images on a piece of paper. They ask if they need glasses to view the prints. Then I show them my yoda head....
