Topic: i Need Beginners Advice

I recently purchased a XyzPrinting DaVinci Jr 1.0

This is what i have attempted so far

i have downgraded from the lastest firmware to 2.2.0

after going though variable amounts of information from different times of the years it got a bit confusing

i have a spool with 50m on the chip

what is the best way to procceed as far as i can tell i need a password to read the chip as i cannot read past the first 8 lines but i cannot get this password without purchasing something or to buy 213 tags and generate my own

is this correct, is there some information that i am missing

You should really read the forum posts as all the info is in there.

i did all that and it still wouldnt let me  set anything, now it just says it empty

i did all that and it still wouldnt let me  set anything, now it just says it empty


Once they are empty they cannot be reset. You would need to buy a pack of paper tags and program one to finish of the remaining amount if any.

What method are you using to try to reset/update the tag?

Were you ever able to read more than 8 lines?

If you cannot read more than eight lines you will not be able to update it.

If you can only read 8 lines, you did not input the password, and you are not using the easiest app. The following guide use android app name reeltool by madman907, it supposed to be much easier to use. Read the guide carefully and try it on an android phone that can read/write NFC. There is also other updated version and other different apps in the follow up post named "NTAG_Refill_Tool v1.40" by modfreakz, I have not tried it yet but modfreakz is a brand you can trust.  smile

If you downgrade your firmware to 2.2.0, you should be able to use resetted NTAGs.
