Topic: Simple Glas Bed Question

planning on printing alot of back-to-back stuff with my class,
we invested in a couple squares of Pyrex glass (pre cut 1/8in  6x6 sheets)

I was planning on binder-clipping them onto the bed to use that hairspray method I keep reading about...

but the one comment I haven't seen is:

Do you have to remove the Kapton tape on the bed already when mounting the glass?

Re: Simple Glas Bed Question

If you had hairspray on the kapton before you mounted the glass it can make it difficult to remove the glass later.

How many printers did you end up getting?

SD2 with E3D, SD Press, Form 1+
Filastruder
NYLON (taulman): http://www.soliforum.com/topic/466/nylon/

Re: Simple Glas Bed Question

I won't remove my original kapton, it worked too well, I even bought a replacement plate for if I decide to get creative

Re: Simple Glas Bed Question

You can also just turn the existing screw upside down and thread it in from the bottom.

Re: Simple Glas Bed Question

Just clean the kapton with acetone once before attaching the glass. This will prevent the glass getting too stuck.
