Re: Replacing the Filament feeding system

Really glad you are able to hack your tags. It was my understanding that version 2.2.7 and above you would not be able to used hacked tags.

Not sure what you mean by extra cables?

That was quicker than I expected. If you look at that picture you can see the pins inserted into the connector, they are ordered from left to right    blue  red   green   black
That's coming from the motor to the factory plug. I just wrapped white electrical tape over the solder joints to protect them from crossing with another wire. If that doesn't work for some reason it doesn't take much time to figure out what order will spin the motor in the right direction.

If I ever find the correct connector I'll switch those pins out for that.

HyruleJedi86,

These instructions were terrific. I got my filament stepper in and not a peep out of it since. Thank you very much for the help.

Re: Replacing the Filament feeding system

Glad it helped you. I was looking for help from someone that posted something similar but they never ended up coming back to help us. That's what made me try to figure it out and post here. Hopefully it helps more people but one thing is for sure; DaVinci needs to improve their stock feeding system.

How are your prints looking with the new motor?

The prints are about the same, but the grinding sound is now a thing of the past.
