Airwolf 3d Printer

I looked into it a while back.  It seemed like a good machine, but what turned me off was that is uses 3mm filament instead of 1.75mm.  I didn't what to have to buy the same colors in different sizes.  I prefer to keep everything at 1.75mm

It's a great printer, it does what it's supposed to and would do fine if you are printing ABS or PLA. For PC which takes higher temperature, it's on the edge of what the printer can do and I'm actually in the middle of a hotend upgrade on it.

IronMan pretty much summed everything up, the only thing I would add is that certain parts on the printer are 3D printed, which is fine for a cheaper machine, but for what you're spending I would expect something a little sturdier. I have had to replace the 3D printed hotend casing (a direct result of the heater not being powerful enough; they told me to unplug the heatsink fan) because the heatsink got too hot and over time warped the PC casing from radiant heat. Among other things, the extruder motor mount is also 3D printed - mine was cracked from day one, I just never said anything about it.

Like I said, it does what it's supposed to but for the money you could probably get something of much higher quality.

Judging by his signature, I'd say he already has a makerbot, but I agree - for the price you could almost get two makerbots.

i got an airwolf, dont buy it. It took me a year to get it to print well! Do yourself a favor and get something else, like ultimaker.
