Topic: Nozzle too high. New to repetier, davinci 1.0a.
Ok so im new to 3d printing. I got a davinci 1.0a for christmas and i've been using it nonstop.
Today I installed repetier 92 because i've heard nothing but trash talk on the original software/firmware, and i agree it sucked. I got repetier installed, and now I'm stuck and afraid to do anything else on my own. I changed the x y and z home positions in the eeprom to -30, -10, and -3 respectively, as every guide and forum post ive seen says to do with differing numbers. I've changed my slic3r settings to be similar to some of the configs i've seen posted on here.
But when I go to print a test plug, the nozzle starts too high off the bed, several mm. My z offset is 0. Do i just adjust the z home position until its closer? Couldnt i severely damage the printer if i change it even just a little too much in the wrong direction?
I calibrated the printer a day or two before installing repetier, and just tried running the auto calibration on repetier and it gives me a zprobe error.
Any help would be greatly appreciated...
