My heating element just went out as well.
Was just doing a standard print of ABS at 95c but it appears it has burnt out.
I can see one of the 3 leads have been burnt out. My feeling is, this is caused by using a very low AWG for temp/amp resistance and also could be caused by the printer bed being heated while the bed is at its lowest position, there by causing too much heat to build up on the bed wires and then burning up.
The bed refuses to go higher than 50c in this condition and it seem to happen mid/print (where the temperature dropped from 95 to 50c, but of course by then the printing could finish without a problem.
Sad
Will put in a request to Solidoodle support for me to get a replacement.
