Topic: GeeTech Me Creator Solidoodle 2 Clone
Received it at noon, got it setup and running. Printing my first piece, one I have printed 40 of on my Solidoodle 3, and 20 came out usable.
So far, it outperforms the SD3 by about 20 times. Real bearings everywhere.
Power supply with a FAN. Motherboard with a FAN. Quiet as a Church Mouse. If it works this good out of the box first item...well, I'm IMPRESSED!!
The SD I bought a roll of ABS with, they put one piece of packing tape to hole it and from NJ to AZ it beat up the Z axis stuff. I have to bed it back and replace the rivets with Allens and nuts to get the Z table stable. And, it turns out, the motherboard always had issues.
This GeeTech unit was packaged to survive a 20 foot drop easily! I am SO impressed!
And, a real billet extruder that you can easily work on. No plastic stuff where it should be metal.
$404 shipped from San Leandro California. And, Linda, the internet contact, has been easy to get a hold of and very prompt, wherever she is.
Every part is equal to, almost all are better, than Solidoodle's SD3!
I AM SO IMPRESSED!!!
Cheers,
Pete
