Topic: 8"=203.2mm, or 200mm max print?

Looking to build a cover with thin ends for an item that is 197mm long.
If the press can really handle 203x203mm, I have a chance.
If it's really 200x200mm, I need another plan.

Has anyone tested the extreme x-y limits of printing?

if nothing else diagonally may work (depending on the object)

Still can't print anything over 195x195mm
•    Below 3 items tell me the basic HW/FW/belts/limit switches are fine 
o    Smaller prints are fine
o    Probing/levelling is fine
o    Homing the head, or counting out a full 200x200mm in manual 1 or 5mm steps is also fine
•    But...large prints:
o    Bang the head into the back and left wall on the first layer
o    2nd layer clear is then clearly shifted right and forward – is this belt skip or FW? Don’t know.
o    Print placement looks fine in Soliprint window – but it prints shifted
o    Also because the print is shifted left, it often drops the probe – printer has to be emergency stopped manually to avoid severe damage.

At a guess I would say deep in the slicer or FW there is a small bit of code that doesn’t quite understand what happens on large prints.

Has anybody actually printed anything over 195x195mm? (my project is square, so printing Diagon Alley doesn't work )
