Any tips?  I am getting mixed results with the following:

  • extruder 240C (first layer only)

  • bed 210C (first layer only)

  • speed 10mm/s (fist layer only) (this is very important - had zero success until I slowed it *way* down)

Still seeing slight lifting on the corners of even small parts and it is barely stuck (slightest tap and it comes free).  However, I am intrigued by the notion of no bed prep so will continue to try to dial it in.  Anyone else having good success care to share their recipe?

extruder 245C -first layer only
bed 115C -all time printing!!!!
speed 10-15mm/s -fist layer only

Printing  with using functions BRIM, it is better to use this function when printed. For example, the ABS has a really high coefficient of thermal expansion (CTE). That is the amount that it shrinks and grows when heated and cooled. ...
The more material there is, the higher the forces are for the warping. So, larger models infill and higher models have more trouble.

This won't work.  At 115C the ABS stays too soft and starts to shrink and create problems.  110C is the maximum I can successfully use for ABS (even when using glass+hairspray).  Are you sure your bed is really 115C?  Do you have an enclosure (if you have cool air surrounding the part, maybe the bed can be hotter)?

I did add a brim and that definitely helps.

110 degrees HeatBed is min for ABS .
1. Maybe your sensor is lying?
2. What is the height from the heatbed to the nozzle in the home view?
3. Calibration of this height with the hot nozzle and heatbed happening?
4. What is the height of the first layer print?

I am very confident in my bed temp.  I have spent a great deal of time characterizing it with a thermal camera.

I have been trying various different heights for the first layer and print the rest at 0.2mm.  I've taken it off and went back to borosilicate+hairspray for now.  I will try the sitall glass again but have some other projects I want to get to today.

ylvov, what temperature do you use for the rest of your layers?  I have one spool of ABS I have to run at 230C to print well.  I wonder if you are using something similar - enabling the higher bed temperatures.  Most of the ABS I use prints best at 205C.

extruder 245-250c -first layer only. For the rest of your layers 220-235c
