Has anyone used one of these resetters?

Any issues with it?

Re: resetter question

IF you get one. I have one.  Trust me and go with the wcteck xyzpro version. Its worth the extra$ due to you have more setting you can change.   There is one for sale on ebay right now.

Re: resetter question

I like my XYZero cart. It's a little pricey, but worth it if you want to rid yourself of cartridges and set temps while maintaining original firmware and warranty.  The resetters work well too I've been told.

What other settings are you referring to? Are these extra settings even recognized by the firmware?

Re: resetter question

I have that cart resetter and you can't go wrong for the price.

It works great, you can reset the filament and change the bed and extruder temperatures.

Of course I moved on to Repetier so don't use it anymore.

Re: resetter question

I have the dimensionbx (the one the op is referencing on ebay), and it works just fine.  Throw a dummy cartridge in there, reset it to 240m, set your extruder and bed temp, and you are good to go running whatever filament you want to.

Thanks, thats good to know there are less expensive alternatives that work just as well.

Re: resetter question

If I switch to repetier host do I still need a resetter?

NEGATIVE!

You can chuck the XYZ cartridge

You need Repetier firmware also installed.

Wow! The repetier host firmware install instructions are long and appear complex, a bit more than I'm comfortable with.  I guess I prefer to get on with printing, nothing highly complex so I don't need all the control/complexity repetier offers. I'm happy with how the da Vinci prints now.
