Topic: Removing a part, midprint

Sometimes I have a scenario when printing multiple parts where one of the prints dosent stick to the bed.  It's usually caused by one of three things: doesn't stick, sliced incorrectly or user error.  Is there a print program that will allow you to abandon a portion of the print effectively removing the remaining layers for a certain x-y coordinate location.   That way if the other parts have printed OK the time isn't wasted due to one part.

Generally if one part is damaged it will eventually carry the mess of plastic across the bed and ruin the other prints.

Any thoughts or info on this would be appreciated!  I use Repetier and run a Solidoodle 2.

Re: Removing a part, midprint

If this existed I would be using it. You might be able to do it manually if you set your printer to print each part individually. Once you saw a problem you would just cut out the g-code for that object assuming you knew where it was (I don't even know if this is possible).
