A quick fix I'm working on for my own Solidoodle 3 & 4. I'm still testing but I believe it fixed z wobble problems by 50-60% at least for my SD3. Next step is to add the firmware fix, if anyone can facilitate me instructions for the firmware fix I would be grateful.
Please print, test and let me know how it goes. Suggestions are always welcome.

Still confused about this, it's called "anti-backlash nut" because it's a specialized nut, or just because it's used here for anti-backlash purpose?
It can help with wobble if it lets the nut slide in X and Y without any slop in Z. I don't know if that is the case with this. It relies on a tight press fit of the nut rather than trapping it, which would be better.

While I appreciate your efforts and always encourage new ideas and fixes. I want to inform you that this issue has been covered quite possibly more than any other. So just a friendly suggestion to have a search and discover the multitude of solutions for this. My personal favorite is the Well nut upside down. I am truly just trying to save you time and effort.

Anti-backlash nuts exists, specially for CNCs I believe. In this case it ia just a regular one.

Yes I know, I'm working on two slots to allow it to slide in X and Y.

Yes, I read about the wellnut fix. For some reason they're hard to come by in my area so while the one I ordered online gets here I decided to work on this one, sort of as a side project. Also to get a better on understanding on how different versions affect printing quality.

I had problems finding them as well, but found that Lowes had a bunch. 5/16 well nut should pop right up.
