Topic: Ok I am confused or stupid or both

Hello new to this site, and to 3d printing in general. I see a lot of reference to blocking xyz in windows firewall. I am confused about version numbers. When I hit the about tab on XYZware it says Software Version 1.0.1.23, and Firmware Version 1.1.G,is this ok? Ive done some searches and I am just confused. I just reset my first cartridge tonight, but have not installed it yet.
I am sorry I know this has probably been asked over and over, and you all are probably tired of answering it. However I have not come across it in any of my searches.
