Topic: SainSmart filament

Has anyone tried 'SainSmart' filament?  I know it is manufactured in China but on Amazon they are using FBA so they qualify for Amazons shipping practices/rates and customer service.  It also looks like they use a cardboard spool similar to Solidoodle (same supplier?).

I only see one review on Amazon here:

Another review (2 stars for the cardboard spool):

Re: SainSmart filament

I have not heard of or used that filament.

Another reason why I think we need this....http://www.soliforum.com/topic/650/filament-reviews/

Re: SainSmart filament

SainSmart Filament  is certainly not the cheapest out there at $33/kg, but the print quality is great and I have not had any issues with it jamming. I have printed a roll of Green and a roll of Red, no issues on either.

Re: SainSmart filament

I've gone through 1/2 kg each of yellow and lime SainSmart without any issues.

Re: SainSmart filament

I've actually had better luck with SainSmart than Octave filament at this point, though that may just be luck -- I've had a lot of humidity-related issues lately (in the air, not the filament), and it seems to affect darker colors more, and I happened to get lighter colors from SainSmart on the whole.
