Topic: Da Vinci 2.0 with Slic3R and or Simplify3D

Hello guys,

Got my 2.0 Da Vinci a few days ago.  Been printing great!  Need to print sub .1mm layers and .4mm walls.
The default software would work fine it looks like, if only you could slow the printer down just a bit more.

Anyway, I have both Slic3r and Simplify3D.
I am playing with export setting for both.

But the new xyzsoftware seems to have a "NEW" encryption or encoding on .3w export of files.  The old de-coder does not work for me.

Has anyone found a decoder, and re-encoder that works with the newest XYZ software?

Or other way to skip it entirely.  I did pop in an EyeFi 2x Pro card, so I can upload directly to the printer without USB or Software.

See a sample of the new exported .3w code here :

Re: Da Vinci 2.0 with Slic3R and or Simplify3D

Hear Hear! I second the motion! I wanted the freedom to be able to build high quality, accurate and strong parts to be used.  I waited 6 months to purchase a printer so I could have the duo to take advantage of its second head to build supports with PVA. Low and Behold XYZware doesn't support it, its biggest potential benefit over its competition.

The freedom of Slic3r and or repetier would be world changing for me.

Please can anyone help?

Keep an eye on the voltivo.com DaVinci software sub-forum, it's likely that they'll be the guys to get Repetier host+firmware working with the Duo.

Those forums are a good bet for deciphering the gcode encoding too, if it's not a real encryption scheme.
