Topic: Import duty ?

I am going to order a Solidoodle Press and have it shipped to the UK . As I understand it, import duty / taxes are not included in the price so I would be paying 500 usd (£300 ish) at the current price the Press is.

I also know that the UK has a 20% tax on importing things so that's £60 on top of the price . (Not Bad smile)

My question is how do I pay the 20% tax if its not included in the price ?

Has anyone ordered a solidoodle to the UK / how easy/difficult was the process?

maybe at your post office

Solidoodle 2 with Deluxe kit cover & glass bed with heater. and 2nd board SD2 used not 3rd and alum platform not installed yet still wood. also need cooling fan installed to board. use Repetier Host couple vers. Slic3r also have all free ware STL programs

If the custom inspect your package you will get a cod and pay at post office or they will send it to you later from customs
