Topic: Hello!

Hi, I'm new.  Your forum seems interesting so I decided to register.  I don't have a 3D printer.  Maybe someday.  For now I'm interested in learning a bit about them.

Evan :Welcome.  likely a wise choice to join a forum such a s this before making the purchase of a 3-d printer.
I too am very new here. I dreamed and drooled over the reprap for a few years . I have seen various  3-d printers demonstrated at model engineering shows. I pondered building my own may still do that later. researched for months then made a spontaneous purchase of an SD4.
I did not join here first but did seek advice from members of my own forum .
so figure out what you want and need and I am sure you will get the guidance to find your dream machine.
