Topic: Glad to be apart of this forum

I've been a one off conventional machinist since graduating military tech school back in 83.
The military merged machinist with welding, and I had to certify for air craft.
By 85 I learned that the Air Force was going to get CNC machines, so I went to collage. In 04 they finally  got them, but I was on my way out so they wouldn't train me. Now I'm looking into getting into 3D printing for some R/C related ideas I have.

My name is Jim, and I'm looking to get into the R/C industry. It's a labor of love. I hope to make some friends here.

Hello Jim! Welcome to the forum and thank you for your service! smile

My ASVAB score was two points low for machinist MOS, so I never went in. This forum helped answer a lot of my questions without spending time and/or money. There are many bright and friendly people here, so do not be scared to post!

Printit Mason and Printit Horizon printers
Multiple SD2s- Bulldog XL, E3D v5/v6/Lite6, Volcano, Hobb Goblin, Titan, .9 motor, Lawsy carriages, direct Y drive, fishing line...the list goes on

Hi Jim, Welcome, I have been using a 3D printer for the last 6 months on a RC project and for prototype work its a great time saver. I wish I would have gotten one sooner !!
