Topic: Solidoodle To-Do 1st's - Calibration

Hi All,

I've seen individual articles from many of the 'active' folks on here discussing the 'how-to' of calibration on our favorite 3D printer. And while the SD2 prints pretty darn great right out of the box, I know my prints have been better since I've done the calibrations. Solidoodle does calibrate before they ship, but things can always shift around during transport or from heat generated from printing, so an occasional re-calibration from time to time doesn't hurt anything.

I might have been tired (or wasted from too many homebrews) and over looked a posting that had all of the calibrations listed in one article. So I apologize in advance if this is rehashing something someone has already done....

Solidoodle has nicely compiled all of the recommended calibration in one nice wiki article on their site; wiki.solidoodle.com/solidoodle-1

SD2 w/ mods: Rumba controller, ATX PSU, SD pro case, glass bed, with more to come...

I think most anyone here knows of the wiki and also that majority of calibration came straight from ians blog. Solidoodle should help everyone and more directly link certain sections on their site

Re: Solidoodle To-Do 1st's - Calibration

I still use skeinforge and pronterface as I find it more forgiving when slicing than slic3r, even when run through netfabb, the solidoodle wiki does not cover calibration for skeinforge unfortunately.
bit slack since thats the supplied software..even knowing where to make changes in skeinforge is vague at best.
