Topic: Hello from Scotland

Just introducing myself to the forum after lurking for a few days.

I purchased a SD4 last week and haven’t stopped using it yet, and have nearly run through a kilo of ABS already.

My day job is as a photographer but 3D printing has intrigued me for a few years and a challenge by my mentor to create 20 images for my Associate panel along a steampunk theme helped in the decision to purchase a printer to make props for the images I will be creating.

Hope to learn quite a bit from the forum.

Welcome Gareth smile

Glad to hear you are enjoying the printer!!! Going through that much filament you may have to start extruding your own filament to keep the costs affordable wink

Thanks Ronsii, eating the filament because of a model for an adapter, for attaching a light modifier designed for camera flash guns to my studio light is using a shed load of material for supports. I have been pointed in the direction of mesh mixer to cut that down.
