Evening,
Thought I'd share the print I've been working on for aproximately 2 months.
After all, it was with help from this forum that got me started on making models with 3d printing in mind

She's an Aventine class science explorer, about 700mm long and was printed in ABS from ModFab.
Maybe 3 weeks of 'casual' printing involved, I think about 50 pieces in total.
Took much longer to get the 3d model to a point where I was happy, however.

And here's what I'm aiming for once painted.

About 700mm long from nose to aft torpedo launchers .
Probably just a tad over a kilo once painted I'd think, but honestly I'm not all that sure.

Did you do some vapor smoothing on this? I'm guessing so due to the great shine on some of the parts. Great work so far..........is it complete?

If you build it they will come. Then they will make fun of it, tell you it's not worth doing and go home and try to copy you.
If a picture is worth a thousand words then being there is worth a thousand pictures.

(2) Stock Makerbot Z18s, Filastruder w/Melt Filter, Filawinder, Autodesk Inventor Design Suite 2014 .........so far.

Nah, that was just the run off of the acetone glue goop I used to use. And nope, not even close, it sits amongst my ever growing pile of other unfinished props...
