Topic: How do you keep filament from un-spooling?

Been working with some new filament (Sains-smart & Zen tool works). Like the price and color choice, but hate the cardboard spool design. Both want to un-spool with the slightest movement due to so much filament put on the spool. I’m sure it won’t be too bad once I use up some of the filament.

Currently using the stock PVC spool holder on an SD2, What would you do to keep these from un-spooling? Also running filament in through the back. Tried running through hole in my party tray, but it didn’t seem to make a difference.

Is it ok to put some tension on the spool? Or would that mess with your print layers?

Well that seems to be doing the trick. Thanks destinymolddesign for the link and to Lawsy for the design smile
