Topic: Layers Wont Stick

hi,

recently bought a new soildoodle 3. I've set it up and calibrated it straight out of the box.
my problem is when I run a model to print the first 4/5 layers won't stick to the bed.
after that they stick normally.

am I missing something, should it be sticking straight away?
I calibrated the machine using the online instructions..
Any help would be great
