Topic: 3mm wood filament sample - Free to good home

The fine people in germany that are producing this wood filament have sent me a sample of there 3mm filament by mistake.
I asked them a few questions about the progress of the experiments with the 1.7mm last week on ebay and now a 3mm sample has just arrived...weird.

Anyone with a printer using 3mm filament want it?
Picture attached of the filament. I think its .25kg worth

Ill happily post it anywhere but I would like to be reimbursed for the postage.
If your interested, tell me where you want it sent and ill get a postage quote.

Payment will by made by paypal.

Thanks guys.

Any recent experiences on this interesting product?  It would seem to have an intersting though limited niche.  Any one trying this since initial tests?

I'm not a solid doodler but I have been testing 1.75mm for a while. There are a few pics and initial impressions on my blog.

Direct from the manufacturer.  Well actually these samples were free. The company is CC products, but I can't find their website for some reason.

I think he only sells on ebay now.

Re: 3mm wood filament sample - Free to good home

1.75mm / 250grams = $33 shipped to USA.

Anyone know what temp to use this stuff at and if there would be any issues using it with the SD2?

UPDATE:
"The thermal strength of LAYWOO-D3 filament is similar to PLA and can be printed between 175°C and 250°C... At 180°C your LAYWOO-D3 prints will have a light colour and at 245°C your print will become darker. "

So if the SD2 Hotend temp is around 30° lower then reality, I believe we would set RH extruder temp to 150-200°.

you need to go to a larger sized nozzle or you are going to have some major clogging.

According to the manufacturer the suggested nozzle is .5mm
