seems like a lot to spend on what appears to be a reasonable "stock" mendel. (especially since it's basically two thousand dollars now, and they say it's still in beta and comes with no manual)

that said, it also looks like a significantly improved Mendel with it's rigid frame, and aluminium extrusion framed (rather than threaded or smooth steel) frames hot bed etc. (lighter so faster to move etc)

not entirely sure what it brings to the table that the three solidoodles you could buy with that money don't already give you in a stronger neater package.

Additionally, they say that two grand price tag is soon to go up as their beta tester discount will soon end.
