Topic: Nexus 7 Car Mount

I purchased an android compatable blue tooth OBD2 device and would like to use my Nexus to monitor the engine.  There are very few places I could safely mount the tablet other than a suction cup on the windshield, but I do not want to put an obstuction there, so I chose to make a fixture to use the cup holder in the console.  This device holds the tablet at a fixed 15 degree angle.  It prints "dirty" due to some overhangs, but cleaned up enough to be functional.  I plan on redesigning the device so that it prints cleaner, and allows the angle tyo be set.  If anyone wants the current design, I will post it, but I reiterate that it requires a LOT of clean up in its current state.  It consists of two parts, the cup holder "plug" and the nexus holder.  These are bolted together.

Re: Nexus 7 Car Mount

Looks good!

I'm making a similar mount for my iPhone, I'm mounting it to the fan slots next to the steering wheel, should be easier to see there but it is more challenging to design.
