Topic: Just stupid?
OK, Thank to Adrian, I get the printer to work, but now....
I load a file and slice it and then hit print and it tells me finished o.O or -55 till done.
What is I doing wrong?

slicer doesn't like the file... have you run the file through netfab or anything like that?
I am so new at this, my hair is still wet!
I am up for a live chat if you like?
PLEASE!
phone/Skype/FB/AIM lol
Upload the file to http://cloud.netfabb.com - the instructions are on that webpage. You get an email when its finished processing, download that file and use that file to print with.
Also make sure you have selected the correct ComPort under Config-> Printer-Settings. By default it will still be on "Virtual Printer" - it needs to be set to the ComPort the printer installed itself as.
If you're still stuck - try http://www.soliwiki.com/Solidoodle_IRC_Channel - I'd chat but I'm out and about at the moment so can't really chat.
do I slice it or just print?

I am sure I be up all night, getting this to work and once it does keep on going!
So a chat can happen!
Adrian, thanks again for the advise before it work, I can move stuff around, just when I run the file it goes brain dead and says it is done
you always have to slice it - its what 'turn a model into the GCode for the printer to understand' means.
Workflow is, add object to the printbed under Object Placement. Under Slicer tab, make sure the config files are setup for the correct settings you want for Print Settings and Printer Settings, and Filament Settings. Press Slice, wait for it to finish. Make sure heated bed is turned on, wait 20 mins for it to be at tempreature, switch on the extruder, wait 5 minutes for it to get to temp, and then click "Run Job" up the top.
Outside of that, everything you want/need to know is already up on http://wiki.solidoodle.com/how-to-print . Work through the links at the bottom under Print Cycle once you have that covered.
Every thing is hot and ready to go, it says "idle" Once I hit run, it says "Finished"
could you post up the file you are trying to get to work?

Are you slicing the STL file? There's a big fat button "Slice with Slic3r".

The big fat one and the small one

Here it is.
everything I want to print, even after netfabb rework, still says the same thing. Once it is sliced I hit print and instantly says job done.
going to reboot the pc.
BRB
Thanks!

Ok, I sliced it to 3mm after rotating x 90, it made 42 layers took 40.669 sec to slice no errors... running it through virtual printer right now seems to work...??? I would check your slicer config files or better yet post up the gcode of what it slices for you.
It worked! Just is not sticking! that is a easy fix, I guess??
It started at the very end on the heat pad and was drawing off the side, almost
Can I center it?
I know this is a auto load program, but seems to far over
ok lol hit home and all good!
THANKS SO MUCH!
HAHAHA SOUNDS LIKE PAC-MAN!
you can move it around and rotate it 3d in the 'object placement' tab in Repetier.
ok, so was printing and then burp,..... it stopped M999
code?
It lost it's connection to the thermistor, which reads the temperature in the extruder. Check the connector on the extruder (blue one?) and make sure it is plugged in on the board. I think it is at the top, a small connector with a "T" on it. If the connections are good, it is possible that they didn't install it right and caused a short.
The thermistor is a small glass bead with a couple of wires coming out. The wires have insulation which is just a small tube that slides over them. If the insulation slides up a little, then the bare wire can touch the brass nozzle and keep it from working right. I would check for that unless you have some 1/4" kapton tape on hand to tape the thermisor back on to the nozzle when you are done.
Aside from that you would need to check the wires with a multimeter to make sure there isn't a break somewhere.
Right out of the box my slicing at .1mm and .2mm failed because of there is somewhere in the config that it thinks thinks the number is not actually a number. .3mm slices fine though.
You can check your logs and see it says something like "argument {blah} got an error in multiplication" or something like that.
I still have not figured out what causes that, but for now .3mm config works fine.

Get it working?
