Topic: PLA support on ABS model and how to remove it

i just read on a french DIY forum how someone use PLA support and remove it..

PLA doesn't stick very well on ABS, so you can use PLA as support and remove it without big problem..

if you get Support in the model where you can't remove it , you can immerse it in caustic soda heated to 80 degC and use a magnetic mixer. The caustic soda will dissolve the PLA and will not harm ABS.

it doesn't affect "soft" PLA and LAywood filament too.. (so you can build a model in soft pla with support in normal PLA)
