Topic: About Hotend design, What kind of hotend design is this?

Hello,
I saw this when I was browsing http://reprap.org/wiki/Acorn_nut

and saw this picture.

it's about acorn nut leaking PLA, but i think the design is using pipe adaptor. I really want to build something like this, especially the pipe nipple/adapter, and wants to find out about the parts.  does anyone know what is the name of this hotend? and maybe the detail info for the pipe adaptors.

thank you

I think this one would be easier to make with common tools. It has the advantage that you wouldn't have to drill the nozzle.

I would change the resistor to a cartridge type heater.

I don't think it's wildseyed simple hot end, because it's using an acorn nut instead of  MIG welder tip.

I would very must like to know what is the size of that adaptor, since US pipe size is all different.
