Topic: PID Tuning ?

if you have a clog and change out the nozzle do you have to retune the PID.

Re: PID Tuning ?

Retuning the PID is so easy to do and takes such little time, that I would recommend you do it whenever you think you might need to.

To really know though you need to check the 'Temperature Curve' graph in RH midway during a medium/long print.  If your extruder temperature is fluxuating over 1 degree, you should tune the PID.

Re: PID Tuning ?

I PID tune anytime I do anything that effects the thermodynamics of the printer. e.g. went from acrylic to mk3 (trapped less  heat) or adding way more Kapton to cover the thermistor correctly.
