Topic: Z axis stepper motor

Hi!

So. In the middle of my hacking, it seems that my z axis stepper motor broke.
It actually creaks if i put enough pressure on it to move it (and I have to use a *lot*), which it didn't before, it was pretty smooth.

So unscrewed it, and I am trying to find the relevant part to order from somewhere.

The markings say:

Moons 42pm048l1-02502

2016 23 006506

2Mz67r007G

I can't find anything. Uhm. Please help? <3

Here is a link to Moons stepper motors.  I cannot find that model number.  I'll check my JR tonight to see which once it has.

EDIT: I cannot see my stepper motor markings without taking it apart.  Can you provide a picture of your markings?

It does not appear to be a standard motor.  I would contact the last vendor and ask about it.

Found it as well this morning with the help of my amazing mom xD. Sent an request to the only retailer for companies I found that stocked it. Otherwise i'll have to wait until my ramps board shows up in the mail.

I got that problem before. Check the wire of stepper motor, if it shakes when you try to move y-axis, and you give it a push it will spin, but changes direction when hit resistance, your wire is not reliable or your wire it wrong. use meter to test if all four wire of your stepper motor is actually connected to the board and make sure they wired correctly.
