Topic: Are the STL files available for the Solidoodle 2 Pro?

I am seriously considering buying a solidoodle 2 Pro but I want to know if I'll be able to print replacement plastic parts if necessary.

This isn't a problem that typically comes up. He haven't had a user break their parts during use (that we know.) Sometimes parts are broken during shipping, we replace those for free.

But no, we do not provide the STL files.

There are user made parts for almost all of the printed items that ship on the printer...I think we need to sticky them in the Help and STL sections.

A lot of people don't understand that the removal and replacement of the carriage parts involves a lot of delicate work. We don't do that in the shop, and we don't recommend it to customers. If a X or Y carriage breaks we just swap out the whole printer carriage. It is faster, easier, and fool proof.

Also, I am unaware of any complaints about the actual carriage parts.

Again, we make the parts available to anyone who wants them. Just not the files.
