Topic: How do you hang your filament?

I was unsure about using the holder on the back of the machine, and I wanted to have a few colors on standby, so I hung the filament on a piece of sprinkler pipe and used some zip tie magic to hang it above where the printer will sit.

How do y'all keep your filament?

Here's mine, Note the vast color spectrum I've acquired.

Re: How do you hang your filament?

I hated the spools hanging off the back of the SD so filament for my printer is fed from spools mounted under my desk for an ultra "clean look".

see pics here:

now there are four rods to hang filament on.

Re: How do you hang your filament?

I didn't care much for the rear holder either. Currently I have mine mounted to the printer still but just moved to the top side. I've been playing around with different mounting ideas for the extruder, so my filament holder is still getting changed around until I can find a mounting point that I like for the extruder. But I pretty much keep it mounted to the printer in some fashion as I don't have anywhere to relocate the filament away from the printer right now. Eventually I would like to get a tub or something that I can mount several spools into so that I can also keep silica packets in it to keep the filament dry.
