Topic: Auger binding, excessive wearing, and rotating out of round

http://soliforum.com/i/?lpmwp3f.jpg

I built my first Filastruder, yay! But after going through less than a quarter of the ABS provided that things seemed to be slowing down, and some of the filament was coming out grey. I ran the auger clean, and while assembled it at about 0.45 Amps. If I take the pipe off it runs at 0.2 Amps, if that was the only thing it wouldn't concern me too much. I noticed a good bit of metal shaving in the pipe bore, which no longer seems to be straight. Even without the pipe the auger jumps around while spinning. Any ideas what happened or how I can fix it?

The YouTube video won't play, but 0.45 amps while empty isn't outside the norm. The first filament coming out grey isn't really abnormal as it is purging out oils etc from machining, but what temperature was it running at?

As for rubbing, I'd check that the barrel is coaxial with the motor shaft.
