Topic: Apparently I'm getting shifting, what's the recommended course of acti

So I just switched to Repetier host .92 and my first print was perfect.  However, on my last two prints from Repetier host and sliced by Cura ended up with these shifts.

I looked through the sticky at the top of this forum and people seemed to think there's no reason to try to print something else or try a different slicer.   

What's the latest fix that everyone recommends for this?  A few people said printing from an sd card would help, but others said it didn't matter.  Any help with the latest course of action would be greatly appreciated.

likely mechanical issue check belt tension and grub/set screws on pulleys.
look at your print preview see if anything shited in the software .likely not.

It's a da Vinci,  check your end stop cables for intermittent opens.  Da Vinci printers are notorious for this.

Printing since 2009 and still love it!

Not necessarily saying this is the problem that you're having but I was having the exact same issue and resolved it by re calibrating my stepper motor driver voltages.

Did you swap out the drivers ?
If not, how did you change the voltage with the stock drivers ? (I thought they had a fixed voltage)

Sorry, I was referring to my solidoodle. I assumed they would also be variable on the da vinci. If they're fixed though, one would assume that they're properly set and don't need adjustment.

The issue that I was happening with the voltages is they were set way too high, which would overheat the motor and cause it to shut down for a split second.. Resulting in skipped steps. If it's too low though, whenever the print head comes across a bump that might put up some resistance before it can be moved over, the motor won't be strong enough to move it

I originally thought this might have been the issue because right before the skips, you can see on the left hand side of the print there's some blobbing. This probably happened after the skips though and drooped down because the rest of the print looks really good
