Topic: Scaling issue with Pi3B and 1.18

I got my Pi3 and 8mp cam today and decided to install latest OS and FreeLSS 1.18.  The calibration line seems to be ok, but the scan puts out what may be a super small scaled version of what I scanned. Either that or just noise, it only has a few pixels showing per  interval.

Will try some different setups on Monday, but was wondering if there is a known issue. The 5 mp cam didn't do any better.

Turns out I misunderstood the meaning of "focal length". Focal length != focus distance. The focal length is a function of the camera lens, which for the 8mp camera is 3.04mm. Focus distance is not related to this number, and as far as I can tell, not adjustable.

The Raspberry Pi cameras are all "fixed focus".  The focus distance cannot be changed in software.  It can only be changed by manually rotating the lens.
