Topic: Rat's nest from Jr 1.0

Tried to print from my brand new da Vinci Jr 1.0, and got the output shown in the attached photo.

I'm advised that the things I should be looking at are:
* bed levelling
* nozzle height adjustment
* calibration (I'm assuming that is the same as the above, but I'm a newbie)
* different print surface
* printing the first layer slower

The print surface is the supplied bedding tape. I can't find out how to do the other things.

Help, please!

Re: Rat's nest from Jr 1.0

1.  There is a bed leveling video on the XYZ website.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ql1lwkPef28 Don't understand why this would be an issue with a brand new printer.
2.  The Nozzle Height is adjusted from the Utilities/Zero Offset menu item
3.  Don't see how a different print surface would help.
4.  Are you using the default print settings?
5.  What are you trying to print?
6.  Does it render ok when the software slices it? (check the picture after you press the print button  and before it actually begins to print.

Does any of this help?

The Jr. auto levels, it does not have adjustment screws like the other Da Vinci models do. So the OP is confused on that part as most none Jr owners assume it has leveling screws and advise him the standard bed leveling routine using paper or feeler gauges.

Printing since 2009 and still love it!
