Topic: transparent abs?

I have known about transparent place but I just saw this on www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B009LDWST8/ref= … p;pi=SL757

Has anyone tried it? I want to build an iron man arc reactor so i need something transparent. (actually translucent.) would this be a good bet or should I try the pla?

Re: transparent abs?

I've been trying to fix the link but it won't work!
Just search 1.75 mm transparent abs. It's by zen toolworks on amazon.com

Re: transparent abs?

I know people have used Zen Toolworks filament here, but I haven't personally.

Re: transparent abs?

Transparent abs has less of the 'b'. and its marginally more fragile. The properties are similar, but more different than you normally get between colors. I've still not tried my transparent filament.

Re: transparent abs?

It works fine.  A bit runnier than natural ABS, so you might want to run it about 5C cooler.  Your fill will have a big effect on how it looks.  The fewer perimeters and solid layers you have, the easier it will be to see the fill pattern if it is something like hexagonal.  Concentric would look pretty cool for something like an arc reactor.0
